FFA & Leadership

At Sonoma FFA, the leadership ring of agricultural education offers every member a chance to step up, speak out, and serve. Students can run for chapter office and advance to sectional, regional, or even state positions, honing their voice through public-speaking contests and sharpening career skills in CDEs and LDEs—highlighted by our award-winning Vine Pruning and Dairy Cattle Judging teams. Students also have the opportunity to attend leadership conference in order to develop these skills even further

Leadership extends beyond competition. Members take their part in advocating for agriculture, volunteering at events like Sonoma County Farm Bureau Ag Days and Farm Fest. Our members even created Sonoma FFArm Days, an event where local elementary and middle-school students to tour the school farm and discover the industries it represents. Along the way, students document their growth and achievements to earn Greenhand, Chapter, State, and American FFA Degrees, nationally recognized benchmarks of leadership and proficiency.

Through every opportunity, Sonoma FFA empowers students to lead with purpose, give back to their community, and build a foundation for lifelong success.
